Château de Versailles
30 minutes from our hotel: An unmissable family outing
Just 30 minutes from the HAPY Hotel is one of the most famous wonders of the world: the Château de Versailles. This jewel of French history is an essential stopover for lovers of culture and architecture.
Classified as a world heritage site since 1979, the Château de Versailles constitutes one of the finest achievements of 17th century French art.
Former hunting lodge of Louis XIII enlarged by his son Louis XIV, all the following kings of France lived there until the French Revolution.
The 2,300 rooms of the Château spread over 63,154 m2 are full of treasures including the famous Hall of Mirrors. The domain of Versailles is not limited to the castle and its gardens designed by André Lenôtre. The Grand and Petit Trianons, the Queen's Hameau and Marie-Antoinette's Estate offer visitors a more intimate view of royal life. Stroll through the paths of the gardens and groves or rent a boat on the Grand Canal. In addition, little ones will appreciate being able to approach the animals of Queen Marie Antoinette's educational farm.
Let yourself be enchanted by the magical waterfalls of the groves, or the gushing water of fountains and pools like the Dragon Basin whose main water jet rises 27 m high or the size and the variety of 99 water jets playing on the lead sculptures of the Neptune basin.
And so many other wonders to explore before returning to rest in our establishment.
